A voice project…
I’m currently exploring voice and sound and the written word,
finding fusions that feel good and storylines that translate into the hearts of people. No doubt… this fusion of expression will surely evolve, as it exists through organic vision, fueled by imagination and Spirit.
i.e. Stay tuned… as the look and format and presentation of Storytime will surely shift and expand.
Enjoy!
On Being Here…
I needed something.
Water, maybe. I wasn’t sure.
But I felt the nourishment that I needed… was in the kitchen.
So I’m walking there, skipping to the next song on my phone,
I guess I needed some mood music…
…and I feel compelled to snap a few selfies.I do that when I feel led to-
from time to time.
It’s a cool sort of…Self Love practice.
It lets me see and observe myself in the moment. As I am.
So, the music is on point and I’m feeling it deep,
I’m in my bones…And I take this photo of myself,
And…. it’s fine.
But my selfies always come in groups of 337 or more. (hehehe)So I took another one.
This time with a funny face. And then something more serious.
There were a couple of those. And that music was moving me,
Backwards, ya know…
Towards the kitchen windows-
where there is more color and light and life to capture in my Selfie lens.I danced those song lines back…
Back toward clarity…
To see myself near the windows…And then I kinda tripped. (ha)
So I braced myself on the kitchen island,
Feeling and seeing the lightness of this vision quest. And then…
I saw myself.
Like, really saw myself. And I heard the voice of Self, of the Most High…
Calling out to me…
Speaking words I didn’t know I needed to hear.Look at you.
Here…
In this place.
You are here now, baby.
Right where you want to be.
In this home that you have created.
This place that is just you,
Holding space exactly as needed,
Exactly as you desire.
Your vision is already here.
And this is what it looks like.Right now.
Right here.
Where you are.
Where I am.Ohhhh….
My heart.
I AM HERE.Obviously… I cried.
Felt good.
Seeing my Self. And that’s why taking selfies is a very fun #selflove practice.
And… that’s what I gotta say about that.
